A Sedona Fairytale

This styled shoot is what dreams are made of! I’m so grateful that Kristin Hollist contacted us to be a part. It was so lovely meeting and collaborating on her vision for this shoot.

Kristin’s vision was for a lush bouquet of neutral tones and greenery and a simple flower crown. Quicksand roses with their blush/beige tones were the perfect flower, accented by Pink Ice Protea, blush stock, seeded eucalyptus and pieris japonica, with some light and airy bunny tail added the best texture.

I can’t stop staring a the results! One of my very favorite bouquets.

Anniversary Giveaway Shoot with Traci Edwards Photography

Traci Edwards Photography

We’ve been lucky enough to work with Traci Edwards a few times and her work is always jaw-dropping! Lucky us! When she reached out to join her in a giveaway we were all in. A special couple won a redo of their wedding photos by in a snowy adventure anniversary session.

Traci told me the colors she would like (burgundy, blush and whites with a variety of greens), but gave me complete freedom with the design and flower choice. I instantly knew I wanted to use burgundy peonies! I had recently been to Mayesh Chandler (our wholesaler) to get flowers for Christmas arrangements. The peonies were SO hard to pass up. This was my chance before they went out of season until spring. If I HAD to choose a favorite flower peonies would be it.

I love designing weddings and I never seem to tire of making something beautiful for our couples. My creativity really gets sparked when I get to go into the cooler and pick out whatever catches my eye. That’s exactly what Audrey and I did on an early morning flower shop session. We picked up the stars of the bouquet, burgundy peonies, along with: paper whites, blush lisianthus, white ranunculus, white astilbe, white cloud garden roses, ivory carnations and silver brunia berries. For greens, silver dollar eucalyptus and some leftover cedar and pine from Christmas.

It was really a joy to design! I love the final result highlighted in the photos below. The lucky couple, Amber and Kyle, along with Traci and Maya from Maya Papaya Pictures, braved the weather in snowy Sedona and captured some magic!

Check out some of our favorites here! For more on the couples’ story and how the shoot came together check out Traci’s blog at http://traciedwardsphoto.com/blog/snowysedonaelopement
